Terms of service

These terms govern your use of Plumb Report, the web application and related services at plumbreport.com ("the Service"), provided by the operator of Plumb Report ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of a business, you agree on its behalf and confirm you are authorized to do so.

1. The Service

Plumb Report helps home inspectors produce inspection reports from their photos and notes. It stores your photos, comments and reports, renders PDF reports, and can optionally draft content with AI. The Service is a tool; the inspection, its findings, and the report delivered to your client are yours and remain your professional responsibility.

2. Accounts

Accounts are created by invitation. You must give accurate information, keep your sign-in details (password, passkeys, sign-in codes) confidential, and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission. You are responsible for activity under your account.

3. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you upload or create in the Service: photos, comments, your library, branding and reports ("Your Content"). You give us the limited rights needed to operate the Service: to store, process, back up, render and display Your Content to you, and, where you choose to use AI drafting, to send the relevant photos and text to our AI provider for processing. We do not sell Your Content and do not use it to train AI models.

You confirm that you have the right to upload Your Content and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.

4. AI drafting

AI-drafted content is a suggestion. It may be incomplete or wrong, and it may miss conditions that a qualified inspector would note. Every AI suggestion requires your explicit acceptance before it appears in a report, and you are responsible for reviewing it. We are not liable for inspection findings, or the lack of them, in reports you deliver.

5. Fees and billing

The Service is sold as a monthly subscription, plus a per-inspection charge for inspections drafted with AI, at the prices shown on the pricing page and in the app at the time of use. Payments are processed by Stripe under its own terms. Subscriptions renew monthly until canceled; canceling stops the next renewal and the subscription ends at the close of the current billing period. Per-inspection charges already incurred are billed on the next invoice. Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice by email; continued use after the change takes effect is acceptance of the new price.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service: no attempting to access other accounts or data, no probing or overloading the Service, no uploading unlawful material or malware, and no reselling access without our written agreement.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service available and backed up, but it is provided "as is" and we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue the Service entirely we will give at least 60 days' notice by email so you can export your reports.

8. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms or that remain unpaid after reasonable notice. After closure we keep Your Content for 30 days so you can request an export, then delete it from active systems; backups age out on their own schedule.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. General

These terms are the whole agreement between us about the Service. If a part is unenforceable the rest still applies. We may update these terms; material changes are announced by email or in the app before they take effect. Questions about these terms can be sent through the contact page.
